At its very core, the Chamber is a business advocacy group. The Government Affairs Committee takes this charge very seriously and addresses any issue, in a timely manner, which is brought to its attention. One such issue is the "Employee Free Choice Act."

Most companies and even individuals use the end of the year to evaluate themselves and make plans for the future. The Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce is no different. Earlier this month, the Chamber's Board of Directors met for its annual Board Retreat, which is a half-day session of evaluation and strategic planning.
