The Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce announced its community awards at its 87th annual banquet Wednesday night at the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center.

The Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce plans to publish an illustrated history of Terrebonne Parish.

“Louisiana’s Bayou Country: The Story of Terrebonne Parish” is being written by Rachel Cherry, executive director of Southdown Plantation House and the Terrebonne Historical and Cultural Society.
