Louisiana Technology Council and Houma-Terrebonne Chamber Partner to advance technology in Terrebonne Parish
---Organizations to offer technology programs and services for the region---
New Orleans – April 5, 2011 – The Louisiana Technology Council (LTC), a statewide member organization dedicated to advancing economic and social development through technology is pleased to announce a partnership with the Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce (HTCC) to bring its programs, events and services to Terrebonne Parish. At a minimum, the LTC and HTCC will provide quarterly events and programs for the region. The partnership was created to help provide more exposure on the technology initiatives being developed in the region as well as help educate Terrebonne organizations on using technology to their competitive advantage.
"As we expand our statewide presence, the LTC looks forward to bringing technology programs and initiatives to Terrebonne Parish,” said Louisiana Technology Council President Mark Lewis. "We view this as strategic partnership opportunity to help with the economic development of the region through technology. By working together, we can assist each other by providing benefits to both Houma-Terrebonne Chamber and LTC members, thus creating more business opportunities for each,” states Lewis.
"As a Chamber, we are always looking for partnerships to benefit our members. We felt like LTC was a perfect fit because it provides our members another avenue to help them grow and benefit their business,” said Jason Bergeron, Chairman of the Chamber's Technology Task Force.
