The Chamber is making a change to one of its long-time programs in 2010. Starting in January, the Chamber will no longer have its monthly flyer mailing. The mailing served two purposes. It provided the organization an opportunity to promote its monthly General Membership Luncheons. Additionally, up to six members each month included a one-page advertisement that was included in the Chamber envelope.
For those businesses which utilized the flyer mailing as part of their marketing efforts, the Chamber will provide new and exciting opportunities to promote your goods and services to an audience even larger than that of the flyer mailing.
Businesses can now purchase ads in our weekly e-Focus e-newsletter. The e-Focus is distributed to more than 2,000 e-mail addresses each week and that number continues to grow. For only $100, your ad will be placed in the e-newsletter over four consecutive weeks. Your ad can link back to your Web site, an e-mail address or even a document that you would like subscribers to download.
The Chamber is also opening up advertisement space on our Web site. In October, 2009 alone, HoumaChamber.com had more than 20 thousand web pages accessed. Ad rates are also $100 per month.
Additionally, for those members who do not have a Web site, or would like additional web-presence, the Chamber has been offering an enhanced Web site directory listing. The enhanced package gives a business higher visibility in search results listings on our Web site, the ability to add photos and logos and more space to add additional content such as business descriptions. To enhance your Web listing, the fee is only $75 for the first year and $25 in subsequent years.
The Chamber will continue to promote its own events via the mail (in addition to our e-newsletter and Web site communications). Instead of sending a standard-sized envelope, we will begin sending a monthly postcard reminding the membership about upcoming events.
