Terrebonne Mini Grant available for small businesses - Monday, February 06, 2012

The Terrebonne Economic Development Foundation (TEDFo), which works in conjunction with Terrebonne Parish Economic Development Authority (TEDA), announces its Terrebonne Mini Grant Program that is available to assist small businesses.

The Terrebonne Mini Grant Program is possible through a $50,000 grant award received from the Foundation for Louisiana. The grant will be used to develop small and/or disadvantaged businesses, particularly minority and women-owned enterprises in Terrebonne Parish.

Prior to obtaining funding, clients must make a formal written request, meet specific criteria and be evaluated and recommended by an advisory work group. In addition, these underrepresented enterprises will have to participate in an established and recognized technical assistance program. TEDA will award grants of up to $5,000 to the enterprises to help with its business's associated costs.

TEDFo will begin accepting formal written requests February 8, and will accept the requests until funds are exhausted.

For application requirements and additional information, please contact Sheila Bella at sbella@tpeda.org.
