The Terrebonne Parish Public School System consists of thirty-six (36) school sites, including four high schools; three junior high schools; twenty-five elementary and middle schools; a career and technical high school; a school for exceptional children; an alternative school program, and an adult education center.

Fletcher Technical Community College is an open-admission, two-year public institution of higher education dedicated to offering high-quality technical and academic programs to the community of South Louisiana in order to prepare individuals for employment, career advancement, and lifelong learning. South Louisiana Community College (SLCC) is a member of the Louisiana Community and Technical College System. SLCC’s footprint spans across 9 parishes in Acadiana, including a Maritime and Corporate Training Center in Houma. SLCC serves more than 15,000 students per year.
